If you are on a limited beauty budget:
~look in the old farmers almanac and get your hair cut and colored on days to have your haircut to grow slower
~make sure your hairstylist gets their shears sharpened regularly...no sound when scissors close is a sign that they are sharp and sharper shears give longetivity to haircut
~don't get a razor cut
~ask about deal on just having 6 foils put in on part areas
~getting haircut only/no blowdry is less expensive
~ask about a neck trim or bang trim between haircuts
~don't have a short hairstyle...have a medium style that can look good longer
~barter is always better...can you clean houses, massage, or run errands
~learn styling techniques and don't burn hair when blowdrying or using hot tools
~cut off split-ends slightly above the split with sharp scissors as soon as you see them
~buy salon products in bulk sizes...you can special order them
~use a shower filter so the chlorine won't strip your color and don't use hot water on your hair ever
~when coloring your own hair, just touch up regrowth every other time and pull through ends only last 5 minutes
~don't use hairspray before using a hot tool
~brush hair tangles from bottom up so as not to break hair
~go to a hairstylist who understands problem hair and this usually someone who has been in the field at least 10 years
